It's GiveAway Time!

It's that time! I have 100 followers plus right now....I'm so blessed!  Why in the world so many of you are in the least interested in my ramblings, I'll never know but I'm so thankful to have so many wonderful fellow bloggers out there.  Ya'll are amazing with all your sweet and caring comments.  I don't get every opportunity to sit and return comments but I pray that the ones I do will give a little bit of happiness  and/or entertainment.

Psalms 23 tells us "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you have anointed my head with oil; my cup overflows.  Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

I'm here to tell you that "my cup truly runs over with blessings!"  Through all the good times and the bad times, my Lord and Savior has been right there beside me to see me through.  Abundant blessings!  And what started as journaling for me has brought 100 and more followers.  Now how can I bless someone else?

Acts 20:35  "It is more blessed to give than to receive."

This isn't much but I want to say thanks to everyone for being a blessing in my life.  Each one of you mean so much to me to let me be part of your lives and open up your world to me.

John 6:35  "I am the bread of life; he who comes to me will not hunger, and he who believes in me will never thirst."

I would like to bless someone with one of my favorite spatterware bread pans.  This is why I did a road trip all the way to Lipan, TX, because I knew they had just what I wanted.  Included is a colorful napkin to cover your bread and a recipe keeper to save all those favorite recipes that are so generously shared through blogland.

GiveAway Rules:
1) This is open to all followers - Old ones and those that are still contemplating - so jump on the wagon and throw your name in the hat!

2) Your name goes in the hat when you leave me a comment telling how you've been blessed in your life.
BONUS:  Your name will get tossed in again when you add to your comment how you can turn around and bless someone else.  But follow through with that...it doesn't have to be big.  God knows what's in your heart.

3) Another way to add your name in the hat - blog about it on your blog - Share the Blessings!
Be sure and tell me in your comment.

4) Deadline:  midnight, July 25th.

How uplifting is this gonna be when we can read about everyone's blessings!  We've all got our hard times but Jesus Christ is right there with us to see us through.  Accept His grace and His blessings.
Happy Trails...
Berte

  2. How nice of you! I'm a relatively new follower, and am looking forward to reading more from you!

Our family has been blessed this weekend by some guests all the way from Oregon. They took time on their family vacation to reconnect with a group of old friends from 20+ years ago. It seemed like no time at all had passed! The gift of friendship is one of the best blessing of all!

  3. Alica, you're so right. Like I mentioned on your blog, friendships are an amazing blessing from God. He puts people in our paths at just the right time in our lives.

  4. Sounds great! My blessing this week has been that the surgery center called and set up an appointment this past thursday for my sisters eye surgery. The surgery was done at Barnes Hospital and she came through it fine. The people there are so nice and the best blessing is that there is a very good chance that she will not go blind now, we will know in about 6 to 8 weeks. God Bless!

  5. I love the smell of fresh bread and the feeling of working the dough. Soon, I will be able to do that again.

When Momma died, I found all her recipes she saved and put different ones in several books for the grandchildren. Some handwritten by Mom, others she had clipped. They loved the gift and the thought that Grandma had touched every piece.

I have been blessed by many things but mostly by my parents who taught me I can do anything I set my mind to, goodness is the proper act, and it is better to give than receive.

I carry that tradition with me.

  6. Hey Berte - love your giveaway prize. Haven't seen yellow spatterware as much as other colors. It would go great in my yellow/green kitchen!

Check my blog - I'm sending people your way to visit AND it gave me something to blog about! haha!

Where do I begin on blessings? Tony and I always talk about how, when we seen some of those around us, we feel blessed beyond measure - especially since our best friends have a daughter with brain cancer right now. Our kids are healthy and so are we at the moment. It could all be taken away in a moment!

My husband resigned his position after 30 years with the same company last August. It has been amazing how the Lord has provided for us in small and big ways during this interim when he's trying to get his own business off the ground. We found out a few weeks ago that through his family we had inherited a small interest in some minerals that are being leased. We were paid a signing bonus and it will be enough to get us by for a bit while Tony is getting started. We have found one need at church that we have been able to participate in giving to, and are looking for another one. How can we not share what God has given us!

    You cannot outgive the Lord!

Sorry I rambled on so much...

  7. I've been blessed by the Lord to give openly to people. My one good thing I do is when I am out if I see someone needing help I try very hard to help them. I also have a habit of when I come across a homeless person I give them food or money. And if I see on my passing if they have a dog I go and buy food for their pup.Done it many times.

I am blessed with a wonderful hubby and home and my pup and friends!

  8. What a wonderful gift to give away.

There are so many blessings to share. One is that my 15 year-old daughter takes care of the goats completely. She does everything from milking, to cleaning hoof, to cleaning stalls. To bless her I am taking over the milking this weekend and my son will do the feedings, so she can go camping over the weekend.

  10. I have been blessed with a wonderful husband and children. I try to make their lives easier and more pleasant any way I can. One thing I do for my daughter who lives next door to me is let her dog out and "babysit" him every afternoon while she is at work.

  12. I have been blessed with a life enriched with many good friends that care about me and my well being.

I also have blessed one of my friends who was down on her luck and behind on her property payments when her husband lost his job temporarily for 6 months. I gave her money for 3 land payments to pay back as she could once he was back to work. I couldn't see her losing her land after all she had put into it.

Thank you for the chance to win that awesome pan!
