Holiday Baking

Ahhh, the smell of something delicious cooking in the oven permeates the house with the aroma of holiday baking. I thought I would share with everyone a recipe that is so easy and most everyone enjoys.

Monkey Bread

18 frozen white dinner rolls (I use Rhodes)

1 pkg instant butterscotch pudding

1/2 c brown sugar

3/4 c butter

cinnamon, pecans

Slightly thaw the dinner rolls just enough to cut in half with kitchen scissors. Roll dinner roll in softened butter and then pudding mix. Place in greased bundt pan and layer with streusel mixture of remaining butter, pudding mix, brown sugar, cinnamon and pecans. Cover and let rise overnight. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes.

Happy Trails...

  3. Berte, if I put my nose up to the screen, I can almost smell that cinnamon! Yum. You know sometimes I think I want to try a bunch of new recipes, but the good old standby's usually turn out the best! I think I need to make this for breakfast on Christmas morn!

Have a very BLESSED CHRISTMAS holiday!

  4. I've made this before, but didn't use the pudding. Mine was so-so. I bet the pudding gives it a much better flavor and texture!

Thanks for sharing. Now I'm hungry. hehe!

  5. I have made this once before. I loved it. Problem is I am working on losing several more pounds. If I make it I can have one piece and take the rest to the local country store for the employees to have.
