I know, I know..this is my second post today but I just had to share this. I saw an eagle this morning! Buddy told me he's seen him before and then a friend from church said she's spotted it the last four years but I got to see it for myself! It was awesome! I had to turn around and go back to the house (about 2 minutes away) and get my camera. I do not have one of those up-close-and-personal lens so I magnified the best I could. No, this is not one of those ugly buzzards...this was a true eagle..absolutely magnificent!!!
That's better than the hawk, eh? Mike knows more about this guy. All I know is his name is Smokey, and he's buying the place next door to rent out. I guess he has pigs or something. I didn't ask! Strange, huh? Merry Christmas!

Did the hawk call his friend the eagle? Count the chickens.

So beautiful! Driving to see my horse, I often see hawks sitting in the bare trees along the freeway. The other day I counted nearly 5 of them in 40 minutes!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! Oh wow! I would have forgotten to breathe! What a thrill!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for you!
Merry Christmas! What a gift!

Congrats Berte. We see many eagles all winter because we live along the Illinois River and there is a very healthy eagle population. But I never get over the excitement of seeing them.
