Where do we park?

With gas prices going up the way they are, it brings much thought to mind... where do ya park the horse while in the store? At what point do we stop paying these ridiculously high prices for gas? The prices are jumping up right before our eyes and not just by a few cents...we saw it go up 14cents before we could round the corner!

(I had to borrow this pic from the internet because, no, I have not yet taken the horse to town) ...but I'm seriously considering it...

Happy Trails,

  1. Man, don't get me started. We apparently are gonna see $4 and $5 a gallon. We are truly in a lot of trouble.

  2. If I had a horse I think I would start riding it to work. Now don't laugh but I do have a scooter. I may have to get tags for it so it is street legal. All I can say is get fancy saddle bags!!! Hugs!

  3. Well, I guess you can park where these two guys are parked! Unfortunately I don't have horses yet, so I'll have to take my car or walk!

Cute picture! It might be fun to take the horse to the store!

  4. Oh my goodness, Berte! I've been looking around at the changes on your blog, and you've opened your ETSY store! You've got some great things in there! My favorites are the shopping bags and the tissue covers! These are great! I love the little girl stuff, too, but I don't have any little girls right now. Hmmmmm.... let me see....

  6. Don't get me started on gas prices either--Unfortunately we don't have the choice but to pay the the 'gouging' prices that have gone up more than 40 cents in the last 10 days. I'm just hoping we won't have to take a 2nd mortgage to fill our tanks!!!

  7. HI there. Thanks for visiting me over at Back Country Drive. YOur encouraging words were very helpful. It's nice to know that other people have been in my same situation!

  8. I just saw some horses parked out in front of the sports bar on my way to town. Guess it's no joke, eh?
BTW, been parked on your site listening to the Lonesome Dove theme. I didn't even know they had it, but I'm loving it!!

  9. I've seen this sight quite a bit here in our mountains. I'd have no problem doing it except for the crazy city slicker drivers who've never even seen a horse before and move out here to our mountains and race around in their huge SUVS.

I wish we all had the option to safely ride our horses to the store.
